Gonçalo Matias is an airline pilot, flight instructor and invited Professor at the Higher Institute of Education and Science (ISEC).
Aviation Quality Auditor, former flight instructor, holds a degree in Aeronautical Sciences.
In March 2016 concluded his Master Degree in Air Transport Operations, publicly presenting his thesis about the basic regulation criteria applicable to the operation of unmanned aircraft (drones) in national airspace.
In May 2016 he founded the National Association for Unmanned Aircraft (APANT – Associação Portuguesa de Aeronaves Não Tripuladas), having been elected its President. He is also associated with several international associations related to unmanned aircraft.
